The Walker Bay Classic Mixed is going to celebrate its 13th Birthday on the 15th of November 2015!
It has grown from small, friendly beginnings into “the premier Cape golf club event to play in”.
The Walker Bay Classic Mixed offers good, clean golf – and a bit of fun. The answer to why it is so special therefore lies, partly, in this delicate balance.
Sponsors and organisers may come and go, but the Walker Bay Classic has become an institution and will therefore remain a part of the history of our special Club forever.
As always, there will be awesome prizes up for grabs.
The famous catering, stretching from dawn to beyond dusk, shall once again be on hand.
What else makes the Walker Bay Classic stand above its peers?
“It is the genuinely friendly atmosphere. It is the tradition of hospitality. It is the fierce contest. It is because everyone is a winner in this event”.
The friendliness and enthusiastic voluntary effort remain key ingredients of the Classic. And the fine line between serious golf and serious fun, established long ago, continues to seek an exquisite path.
